At first I was adamant that we couldn’t have some kind of teddybear logo. It just seemed so obvious, and I wanted to do something a little unexpected.
But all that changed when Helene introduced me to her dear friend Hunter Christian. An accomplished artist and designer, he gave us invaluable feedback on the early direction of our brand; but he also gave us something that was infinitely more special.
Over dinner and drinks, Hunter revealed that he might have something interesting for us. He’d created an inkblot series, and remembered that one of them resembled a teddybear. And the second he showed it to us, I knew that it was perfect.
Since then, the teddybear has been our loyal creative companion. You will see him in many places, sometimes as an easter egg, sometimes as the main character of Teddy's story.
Just like fragrance, our teddybear is open to interpretation, and everyone experiences it differently. Some people see the teddybear right away, while many see patterns, other animals, or even whole scenes.
And just like with fragrance, there is no wrong way to interpret the teddybear. But it leaves an impression on everyone.
